ABOUT US

We provide critical services to wildlife

Wildlife Victoria is a not-for-profit charity that has provided Australians with a wildlife Emergency Response Service since 1989.

As a 24/7 service, we respond to reports of sick, injured, and orphaned native animals.

We offer this service at no cost to the public through our statewide network of 1400+ trained wildlife rescue and transport volunteers, wildlife rehabilitators, in-field wildlife veterinarians and veterinary nurses.

FREE PUBLIC SERVICE

Travelling Veterinary Service

Wildlife Victoria’s Travelling Veterinary Service (TVS) is on call 7 days a week to assess and treat injured wildlife.

Operating out of specialised 4WD vehicles, each TVS team is made up of experienced wildlife veterinarians and veterinary nurses. The teams treat native animals in the field, as well as in rehabilitation—at no cost to the wildlife shelters. Wildlife Victoria’s veterinary team also offers free telehealth advice to general practice veterinarians treating wildlife.
